Lesson

"Roses are red, violets are blue,
Sugar is sweet, and so are you
The roses have wilted, the violets are dead,
The sugar bowl's empty, and so is your head
The roses stink, sorta like sheep
But leave your head down rolling the hill
The roses are molding, the violets are rotten
And I might kick your arse, if I haven't forgotten."

  • Happy Chinese New Year!
    Monday, January 30, 2006
    1:59 PM
    Happy New Year to everyone!
    Gong Xi Fa Cai!
    Sheng Ti Jian Kang!

This year, we celebrated Ah Ma, my dajie and Bryce's Birthday together at an Indonesian Restaurant. But no cakes guys...as you know my family is always the "last-minute" sort, so we kinda forgotten to get a cake as well. The lunch gathering was always kinda late too...

Nevertheless, the Chinese New Year morning started with Gifford's family and Lynette's family coming to my place first. Yushi is so pretty with her "Singapore-colors" outfit and tied-back hair! But as usual, she is ignorant to all other members of the family, especially to poor Gifford.

Then we managed to squeeze everyone into 2 cars (btw, there are 13 people)! Proceeded to that restaurant at Peak Seah Street and took some pictures with my lovely Yushi!

    That's Lynette and her daughter..

At first, Gifford is the one taking this pic for us but HAHAH...Yushi girl didnt wana to even look at the camera! So gotta get Kim to be the photographer...at least it's abit better! Aiyo...

    The rest came..

As usual, the four ladies got together again for a nice family potrait.

My Mummy, Ah Ma, Auntie Karen and Auntie Diana! Beautiful!

Then, we went to Eva's house to

    .

    ..

    ...

    ....

    .....

    ......

    GAMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What else right... That's our family tradition over the past 20plus years! This year, there's an exception. Eva is in and Auntie Diana allowed us to gamble cos in the past, she didn't really like us to do such stuffs. Even Uno cards may not be allowed...

Okay! Here is my whole family...without Veron (photographer)

This picture has Veron, without Suz (hahah..to be fair!)

And off i go to Kennethe's house for a round of steamboat!

Veron insisted me to put up this picture as wallpaper cos she and Yushi look very good.

    feel so shitty..

yeah..I'm quite blur nowadays. Can even mistaken somebody's food as mine.

SIM food is SO boring! I wonder those SIM office girls can tahan the food or not...

    Feel so....*speechless*

Don't know how to describe it also...

    A sad and happy day
    Thursday, January 19, 2006
    11:48 PM
Sad day cos weide wanted to take a break from our relationship. But I'm strong this time. Gotta think over it carefully.

Happy day cos I got to go to JB with Gifford! He bought quite a lot of stuffs man..tank tops, jeans, t-shirt, etc...at City Square of course. We went in at about 4pm which is considered quite late already or else I could have brought him to some other shopping centres like Pelangi. How I wish I can shop freely like him.

Went to Dama to eat our dinner. We had butter crayfish, oatmeal prawns, sambal kangkong and sambal dua tao! Yummy! And a BIG cup of sugarcane juice!

    I LOVE DUA TAO!

Dua Tao is our favourite, right?? heehee..

when we wanted to settle our bill, the auntie came over and said, "qi bai jiu shi (RM$790).WAHHAHA...Scared the hell out of me! My heart skipped a beat leh.. then she kinda jokingly said, "give you discount lah, RM$79." She definitely had a weird sense of humour man..

    AAAh!

Still send me this type of photo...wana copy my style huh? Haha..think I look better lah..

HE FORBID ME TO PUT UP HIS PIC SO juz do it with this pic then..baka neh.

don't tell me to change again hor...

    My new hairstyle...again
    Tuesday, January 17, 2006
    9:14 PM
I changed my hairstyle again...didn't really like it leh. Didn't really cut the style i wanted. And I permed a little again so actually it's abit wavy on the top and straight at the bottom. And I finally got to see a bit of blueish-purple color on my hair! Muz see carefully then u ll notice...or else it's pitch dark. And i mean PITCH DARK.

    Tada!

It seemed like those jap boy hairstyles I saw in the magazines outside REDS salon!

Does my hair look like this?

    or this?

    haha

    Our 3rd Year Anniversary
    Sunday, January 15, 2006
    11:10 PM
14th January is our 3rd year anniversary! Time really flies...I can't imagine I had gone through 3 years with him.

He treated me to Crab Mee Hoon at My Choice Chinese Cuisine located at River Valley Road. It's quite tasty! Per 100gm costs $5.50, so depending on that day's weight of the crab lah. The service is super duper good too! This particular waitress was very attentive to us although we didn't request anything.

For example, she kept giving us extra wet towels to clean our hands and automatically served us ice water after we finished our drinks. And she made small chats with us like asking if we enjoyed the food, etc and best...she rushed to open the door when we were leaving. COME ON! The other young waiters and waitresses gotta learn from her man! We customers are not paying 10% service charge for nothing! Guess we will be going back for more food again... see? This is one for the ways to keep the customer going back for MORE!

Unlike yesterday's incident, I went to Chinatown's hawker centre and had fish head noodle. Eric requested for more chopsticks and bowls. The plump lady rebuked, "how much is your bowl?!" Wah..Fed up. Although we only bought 1 miserable $5 noodles BUT...it's still money right?? Argh...

That's when i'm stonning while he queued up for the Hokkien mee at Republic. So many people and the queue is so long!

We went to watch the "Superband" performance and I must say...those people really suck. Maybe there are better ones but I didn't get to see it. Anyway, I believe if Jasmine and Charlene were to perform together, I'm sure they are the best! Yeah!

(p.s: hey u 2 girls, I'm already your biggest fan man! Xuehua, I still haven't heard you sing before so I can't comment on yours but I heard that you love Andy lau's songs huh?)

We then watched the Memoirs of a Geisha" and missed the first 10mins! Shit..and we couldn't find our seats! Argh...found out that there are 2 anonymous sitting at our seats. Overall, the show is not bad lah. Gong Li is really good man!!! And the small girl Chiyo is so pretty!

Then I got a surprise from him. He bought a pair of "STEFANIE SUN 2006 CONCERT" tickets!!! I HAPPY LIKE SIAO AH!

    We are inside Indoor Stadium!

Although it's the cheapest but still, we found our way sitting at the lower deck of seats without being caught. A bit disappointing though, she didn't sing other artistes' songs and kept singing her old songs. The 2nd last song was the best cos the audience gotta stand up and make the kallang wave as she pointed at us.

As for me, I made a powerpoint slide for him. Hehe..

I love you dear! Happy 3rd Year Anniversary!

    About X
    Thursday, January 12, 2006
    1:24 PM
    I'm angry! Yet hurt too.

I wana talk about her. (don't worry, Xuehua. Not U.) Let's just call her "X" since her first name starts with this alphabet. We were once in the same school. We were once very close. Then suddenly, she didn't want to be close with us. It's okay you know, I mean everyone has their own cliche of friends. Then, I saw her in SIM. Well, we acknowleged each other but somehow I felt a barrier between both of us. From chatting a few sentences to just saying hi to ignoring me. Wah lao.. I mean we are friends right? At least when you see me, you say hi or wat right?

I was really angry the other day. I saw her in the toilet then started to chat with her a bit. Then when I asked her a qns, she immediately cut me off and chatted with another friend. Ok! Fine! What an idiot.

Today I saw her again. She's basically standing next to me (30 cm away). I saw her and probably knew that she is going to pretend not seeing me. Well, I kinda heckcare and then....I realised she changed her hair style and colour. Something like mine. Yes. I'm trying to say she is copying my hairstyle! Ha..copycat! But whether she is trying to copy me or not, I don't really care anymore. I saw her again outside my lecture. She gave me a glance and her eyes shifted away quickly. Yeah...I knew X saw me huh. Now, I don't even bother to say hi to her anymore.

Am I weird or wat? Am I unfriendly? Or am I ugly? She loves to talk to pretty girls huh?

This type of person really irks me. I hate it. I hate this type of feeling. I hate it when people knew me and pretended not knowing me.

If X ever sees this blog, I hope she knows it's her. So next time, she better don't come forward to me.

You can say I'm petty or wat. But if you were me, how would you feel?

    New Year Resolution
    Wednesday, January 11, 2006
    2:01 PM
What is your New Year Resolution?

I once asked Gifford and he gave me this.
"I want to be a better man."
Somehow, I thought that was really funny and gave a loud laugh. You see, this guy has a lot of lady's luck. Always hearing stories about this girl and that girl who likes him. Not to mention that he is quite a flirt too... So a better man means to settle down, not to flirt, not to hurt girls' feelings, not to have too many flings? But I know...you just want to be better than usual. HA.

    Eva joined in and said,
    "I want bigger boobs!"
Hey, that's a bit difficult for people like me now cos our age is over puberty. I regretted not drinking papaya milk in the past! Well, but I certainly don't want to be unproportional. Big upper body and small lower body.

    I thought of it..

"I want my everyday to be as fulfilling as possible."

Well, I just want to enjoy my everyday.
    Life is unpredictable.
And I want to be happy everyday as well!

    Best day!

    2:04 PM
Gym! Yes! I finally went to the gym. I think I was pretty active in these days ah... finally get my butt of my home and start excercising! Actually I tried Fitness First at George St the other time and the environment is pretty okay. I love the open sheltered pool cos the view is so captivating! Imagine you swimming while you can look at the scenary...it will be better if there is a mini bar and massages and food provided!!! WOAH! Ok..i've been dreaming too much..

Anyway, I went to the OUB centre outlet with Eva, Rachel and Gifford. isappointing...the gym is relatively smaller than the George St one and the pool is just like those normal swimming pools. Plus, it was raining and the pool is not heated. And I don't really like an Indian guy over there cos' we felt that he was interrogating us. More like a policeman I would say. After exercising and lazing around for about 1hr, we decided to go to George St! Yeah! I simply love that place man..

Luckily, Omar called Gifford that's why both of us are able to get in free again! Phew~

Back to George St. I really love the pool and the scenary more than the gym lah! haha..We joined Bodyjam then. SO fun! Bodyjam is a mixture of r&b and hiphop dance movements. Eva, Gifford and I were kinda confused cos that was our first lesson you see? And we did one of the Beyonce's move...the one that you gotta shake your whole body and butt sexily? Oh man..what a flop! I guessed we were really tired until the last part Eva did it more like a duck than a sexy Beyonce-alike move. I was neither better..I took a wrong step and started spinning when the rest were still doing some other moves! Then, I twisted my nerves at my ankle when I was doing some backsteps dance movements. Gifford seemed to have injuired his neck when he was turning his head too hard. WAHAHHAHA...

I wanna go there again man..

Then we headed down to Holland V for supper. We went to Wala Wala, ordered chicken wings and drinks.

Yummy! I missed those wings! SO nice!!!

After that, Gifford and I still wanted to eat. Apparently, our previous workout was a waste lah..but of us need to put on weight ya see? Linus and his friends then joined us. We walked off..slowly somemore...Until we reached the coffeeshop at the other side then we realised we didn't pay at Wala Wala! So...we heckcare of cos! We ordered DUA TAO (I love this dish since young!), STINGRAY & DEER MEAT. The rest of the people ordered their own food. The bill came as usual. It was only $41!??? We had 9 people and the food was so cheap? So we decided to pay first and walked off first. So the waiter had actually calculated wrongly! It was supposed to be $51. Hahah...what a lucky day man. Eva decided to split $30 among Gifford and I!

I spent only $5 for the whole day lor! So heng~

    Hong Kong Trip
    Tuesday, January 03, 2006
    12:16 AM
    Yes! I'm back!

Suddenly I felt quite sian man..have to adjust back to my studying period as exams are coming!!!

Anyway, Hong Kong is fun. Despite my flu on the first day and nausea on the 2nd day morning and Weide's stomach flu on the last 2 days, we had enjoyed ourselves!
Hahaha...sounds terrible right? Sounds more like a sick trip to me..

On the first night, my nose started to itch on the plane. Then I kept sneezing..so SWAY lah..then I realised I had a slight gastric pain. The express train is so cool! I thought it's like those normal MRT trains but I was Wrong! Look at this! Fast somemore!

Anyway, I met my boss, Norman and his good friend, Camile.

So happy to see him again! He gave me Rain's cd and his autograph on it! Wahaha! Love u, Norman~! Then they took us to Causeway bay for dinner. At the MTR station, I saw 2 girls dressed up as those cosplay maids! Oh my goodness, they are so daring yet I'm so paiseh to approach them to take pictures. Now thinking back then, I should have asked them! argh..

Ok..we reached that SUPER DUPER CROWDED place. Oh man...SO many PEOPLE!

Like ants crawling all over the place! One thing I love about HK is their lights. You know those bright lights they had hanging on the buildings?? MAde it super bright and colourful!! Ok..I'm dying to eat liao. Norman took Weide and I to this Macau Restaurant. Wait wait wait...u must be thinking y the rest are not with us right? Apparantly, Bear and Peifen took a later UA flight that reached HK at about 10pm.

Back to my meal...Norman ordered Ice Milk tea, portuguese egg tarts, pork buns, XO seafood fried rice and chicken curry rice. We love their pork buns and egg tarts best! It's definitely different from Singapore lah~

Btw, in Singapore we called it "Teh Bing". Over there, they called it "Nai cha". Everytime you ask the waiter to come over, u say "Hmm Goi"=excuse me/thank you.

Then Norman brought us around..Still alot of people at 11pm. Then we went to eat this milk pudding with ginger. Oooh man..this desert is so good! It's a hot desert and u can taste it's milk texture-like-soya beancurd slowly melting in your mouth!

    YUMMY!

The last stop was at this desert stall behind SOGo. I think it's quite famous too cos I saw lotsa newspapers clippings at the window. This time we had mango with pomelo, durian-in-egg-skin, red bean soup and almond soup. Simply nice too! Xu Liu Shan cannot fight with them ah!

I was so FULL!!! All thanks to Norman..
Hey, the transport back to Kowloon is quite expensive. A single trip back costs HK$20 plus meter. The meter starts at HK$15. We thought it will go at $0.10 per 100m or wat..so I waited. And waited. But the meter didn't move leh! So i thought I was pretty heng ah..hopefully the meter kena spoilt then i don't have to pay so much!
BUT WAH~! Scared the hell out of us man! The meter jumped from HK$15 to $22 immediately. Then it happily jumping up n UP n UP!!! Total trip costs HK$70 = S$15.21
    Oh man...
I was feeling very very tired cos of the flu. Felt so shitty..

The second day, I felt like vomiting in the morning. In the end, I only drank spring water for breakfast!

This is the place where we had out noodles. I don't look sick right? Pretending only lah...

Bear, Weide and I went to visit the Great Buddlha at this very tall mountain! We sat a bus up to the mountain..haha..very tall yes..Had to climb a flight of stairs ah~ shit. I haven't been exercising for a long time! I was panting real hard cos I geh kian..ran up the stairs. By the time i reached 3/4 of it, I was panting really hard. MUst go gym!!!

The entrance fee is HK$23, relatively cheap hor and it included meals and drinks as well!

In the MTR, haha..u can see how slack I am ah..so sleepy! Must treat it like my home wat right...furthermore, there aren't alot of people in the MTR..bleh~
We reached Mong Kok and started to shop. Bear and Weide immediately bought a coat each! Shopping Kings ah...better than me worh! Actually i didn't wana buy anything yet cos I wana compare the prices between places but guys...don behave like me. You see something u really like u muz buy at the spot liao. Or else ah...once u miss it u ll regret.
Then, we finally met up with HC and Peifen. They were so late! Ok..Good thing that HC brought us to eat some goody claypot rice and my temper appeased! It was good!

After dinner, we took the Superbus to the Harbourfront to see the fireworks. Woah..their Superbus is so much nicer than ours lah! Look at the seats! Reminds me of those tour buses going to Malaysia..

Well, the fireworks were disappointing. We could only see abit of it cos' it's blocked by a building. But look at the night view behind us..damn nice right?

We went back to the hotel and rested a while before heading to "Nu ren jie". Haiz..what a disappointment! They sell almost the same things..nothing interesting..maybe it's the season? I don't know but I don't think I'll be going back there again.

We headed to the sports shops area..ya..everywhere is sports shoes! Adidas, Nike, Timberland, etc! It's already 12am and Mong Kok is still full of people! Hongkongers are so happening!

The third day is Christmas EVE! We went Wang Tai Sin Temple in the morning. I became the maid of that 2 boys, carrying all the joss papers and happily taking pictures of them! We even went to "jie qian". Haiz...mine and weide's one were not very good aH..Bear's one was a "SHANG SHANG QIAN" worh!

We proceeded to Kowloon Tang..saw the ice skating rink behind me??

Yes! It's inside a big shopping centre and the rink is very big too! Bigger than JEC lah.. There's even cafes surronding part of the rink so customers can hang around and watch the skaters. There's always a viewing gallery - that's where i'm. Finally lunchtime! I had Roast goose meat. Weide had Wanton mee. But I like his noodles better...think HC's char siew rice is the best. Big and tender!

After shopping, we went to Causeway bay to shop again. Wah seh...the prices over there were quite steep. But the clothes are definitely nicer than the ones in Mong kok. Well, Peifen and I only can see, touch, feel and Smell lah! hahaha...Cannot buy cos very ex.... ;(

See? Sooo many people!!! We had steamboat for dinner! Yummy..I love steamboat during cold weathers! The Ma La Steamboat is really Ma La..haha..tok cork right? Smells quite herbal to me..

Poor Bear..it's simply too hot for him..

    THE PEAK! Fireworks!

FIREWORKS! WHERE?! WHERE!? AHHH....A TINY BIT ONLY!??!?! Argh...DISAPPOINTING AGAIN!!!

The fireworks were once again blocked by a building, famously known to be one of Lee Ka Shing's building!!! ARGH...angry! We still climbed up to the cliff to see u know! SO dangerous and scary! Kuku..
Nevertheless, we had lotsa fun playing around with the cameras, my crown ring and the hills. hahahah! Luff until I pengz man!

See the crown on my head? It's given by God's hand!

Look at Weide's stunning swift moves! Wahhaha...he was the one who thought of all these cranky stunts! DEAR..u r so funnie!!!

While we tried to do some other stunts as well...

    While I'm a flop..

We went back to Causeway bay again for the countdown! There's christmas carols..singing in cantonese which I don't understand~!
OK ok! It's going to be 12am!

    5!
    4!
    3!
    2!
    1!

    "Err...?" Silence.

No loud countdowns? No loud popping or spraying?? WHAT THE...Ah...I didn't know HK is so low-key during christmas!
Then we went to this very well-known KTV called CEO. The lobby is so posh and big! And every room has a private toilet! Oh man..the environment is hundred times better than Partyworld or Kbox. BUT..of course every good thing has a bad point as well. It can't be perfect. Limited chinese songs. Don't forget HKgers speak mostly cantonese ah~ that's y canto rules over there. It costs us a bomb too...think it's about HK$1,000+. Can't remember liao but damn expensive...

Christmas day, of course, we slept till quite late in the noon. Finally recharged all my energy! We met up with HC and Peifen again and went to Kwang Tong! Hey u guys must go there n shop k! Cos the prices are relatively cheaper than in Mong Kok~ It's a kinda warehouse sales where you can find Adidas and Nike Sales as well! I bought a pair of Red Nike shoes over there and it only cost me HK$110 = S$23.90! I just saw my shoes at Tiong Bahru today...selling at $49.90. Phew..half the price! I got a pair of brown boots as well! FINALLY! I was searching high and low in Mong kok but all were so ex! That was my lucky day man! I bought it at about HK$110. The rest of the boots were selling between HK$35-$129. Worth it man...

The second last day we went to Shenzhen. Not cold at all...just cooling. Argh...Gifford lied to me!
Weide felt nausea. I shouldn't have given him the panadol cold relief tablets...too strong for him.
The customs is a KILLER!!! We waited for about 1 hr plus to get through it! So fed up. At first, we took the wrong queue. Then we were told that we needed to fill up an entry form. Then Bear and I went to fill up first, happily went back to the queue and realised I left my passport at the counter!
Blur SOTONG lah me! I quickly went back and search but my passport disappeared!!! Bloody hell..I quickly asked a guard nearby but he said something ah..I just couldn't hear him properly and my head was starting to spin. Luckily there was a Singh standing in front of me and asked me if I was looking for a passport. Although he mixed English and Singh but somehow I knew he had some idea of my passport. Luckily his friend took it and was about to give it to the security! SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME LEH~!!! Can't imagine what will happen if my passport is lost...I never want to lose it again.
Finally cleared the customs and now the queue to change our money to Renmingbi..bloody long queue also. We took a bus to Dong Men Jie and....WOAH...A group of shopping centres indeed! The prices are so much cheaper than anywhere in HK! They actually set the price high but you can bargain your way through! I bought a velvet skirt for only 50 Renmingbi which initially costs $100.
We couldn't shop much because of Weide's condition so I decided to go for a manicure and waxing which me RMB$30. WHAHAH...happy until I shiok ah...

Then Weide finally vomited. No choice but to go back to the hotel and let him rest.

Then Bear and I went back to Mong kok and shopped till I dropped! Ahhhaa...This time round, I really wana buy stuffs man..So I bought 2 tops, 1 bottom and a pair of wedges. Hehehe..So happy! Bear was like..kept encouraging me to buy this and that..haha..

Then we went to the Macau restaurant for supper again..Walked all the way to Avenue of Stars! See the pictures that Bear took for me? Oh man...so blurred!!!

See my Shots? Damn good right???

Alright...that's all for my HK trip..so tiring after all these typing and adding of pictures!!!
