Maybe she's born with it~~~
Maybe she's Maybelline~~~

Lesson

"Roses are red, violets are blue,
Sugar is sweet, and so are you
The roses have wilted, the violets are dead,
The sugar bowl's empty, and so is your head
The roses stink, sorta like sheep
But leave your head down rolling the hill
The roses are molding, the violets are rotten
And I might kick your arse, if I haven't forgotten."

I just had this little irritating argument with Suz.

M: Since you like HR, you should take up HR jobs.

S: No lah.. I just hate working. Working is so sian.

M: Ya. Now I think back ah...I shouldn't have listened to you and took on Business Studies. I should follow my heart and interests and go on fashion design. Really regretted about it.

S: Ha. Fashion can't survive lah

M: It's not about survival now. It's about following your interests and enjoying on what you do. I don't want to become you who is always complaining about your work.

S: You can't survive at all lah. You need to go overseas and then you can be famous and able to survive.

M: You don't have to be famous wat. If you love what you do, I'm sure the survival thing won't pose too much of a problem.

S: You have to get a basic degree wat. Fashion also need to know about marketing.

M: No. Marketing is easy wat. You can learn it everywhere.

S: So that means wat? Now you want to give up and go and design ah?

    M: I didn't say that. I just said I regretted my choice.

    S: (mumbling something)

M: You are the type of person who work to live lah...

    S: (silent)

    Congratulations Maybelline, you are...

'Xia Xue' Wendy Cheng of xiaxue.blogspot.com

You are a goddess/god. You've got the looks, the brains and the body. You have such an irreverent sense of humour, people listen to you religiously and worship the ground you walk on. On the other hand you can also be straightforward, blunt and very very controversial. That has the potential to offend many people, but of course you don't care, you just shoot. In the end, people either love you or hate you. Nothing in between.

    Which Singaporean Blogger Are You?

p.s: erm..the fact is that I DON'T WANT TO BE LIKE HER! The other day I saw her in real person, she's short and her head and hair are big. Too big for her size. And her makeup is super duper powderful... yes it's nice but too elaborated. Well, she likes it can already. I don't care...

    Eva's advance birthday
    Thursday, February 16, 2006
    2:17 PM
Yesterday, I went to celebrate Eva's birthday at Ember located in 1929 boutique hotel. Somewhere at Keong Saik Street... Nice ambience and dim lights! Okay, I love dim areas cos that's the part where people can't see my awful pimples. Haha..I hate white lights man...

The food was okay, not bad. I ordered Slipper Lobster pasta with something and cilantro. Don't know what what cilantro but I guessed it should be the leaves lah..A little spicy but more of tomata taste. Eva had this quail with beautiful carrots patterns and Gifford had this cute French-styled deco fish. The prawn salad and chargrilled squids were good! A pity that we didn't get to try the wine cos' we are quite broke already.

The 1929 hotel is pretty retro with all the furnitures and an unisex toilet. Very small though but people pay for the environment, settings and atmosphere lah.. I want to see the rooms one day.

Then we went to fetch Linus.
He was having gastric flu which I felt that it's probably the worst sickness on earth. Imagine all the pains, sounds and the LAO SAI... Worse than cramps ah...
And yah...He looked weak and tired. People suffering from these flus are suffering from hell. I was one of them.

Went to Arab street for drinks and sheesah.
I finally tried the way how smokers really smoke! All you have to do is to breathe in a second time but do it naturally. Don't go swallowing the air so air til your head pops out!
I finally experienced the taste of APPLE yesterday.. haha.. after so long man.

    Photos time!

The birthday Girl - Eva (sexy and witty)

    The first shot...

The second shot... my face looks big!

The third shot... he's still not satisfied...

    Final shot!

with Eva, trying to make our faces smaller by turning sideways but to avail...

try another time...my face still looks big...

And the three of us to end the day...

    Brokeback Mountain
    Sunday, February 12, 2006
    12:36 PM
    Watched this movie yesterday..

I love Jake Gyllenhall! So handsome..

Anyway, this show is about story of two young men – a ranch-hand and a rodeo cowboy – who meet in the summer of 1963, and unexpectedly forge a lifelong connection, one whose complications, joys and tragedies provide a testament to the endurance and power of love.

Early one morning in Signal, Wyoming, Ennis del Mar (Heath Ledger) and Jack Twist (Jake Gyllenhaal) meet while lining up for employment with local rancher Joe Aguirre (Randy Quaid). The world which Ennis and Jack have been born into is at once changing rapidly and yet scarcely evolving. Both young men seem certain of their set places in the heartland – obtaining steady work, marrying and raising a family – and yet hunger for something beyond what they can articulate. When Aguirre dispatches them to work as sheepherders up on the majestic Brokeback Mountain, they gravitate towards camaraderie and then a deeper intimacy. At summer's end, the two must come down from Brokeback and part ways.

Remaining in Wyoming, Ennis weds his sweetheart Alma (Michelle Williams), with whom he will have two daughters as he ekes out a living. Jack, in Texas, catches the eye of a rodeo queen Lureen Newsome (Anne Hathaway). Their courtship and marriage result in a son, as well as jobs in her father's business. Four years pass.

One day, Alma brings Ennis a postcard from Jack, who is en route to visit Wyoming. Ennis waits expectantly for his friend, and when Jack at last arrives, in just one moment it is clear that the passage of time has only strengthened the men's attachment. In the years that follow, Ennis and Jack struggle to keep their secret bond alive. They meet up several times annually. Even when they are apart, they face the eternal questions of fidelity, commitment and trust.

Ultimately, the one constant in their lives is a force of nature – love.

Yeah..a gay show with scenes of them kissing, hugging, fighting, playing around and doing that "thing".

I personally find this show interesting! Although with a few words and a little draggy, the scenery and the 2 guys' actings are good. I kinda felt their love presence. Feel quite sad for the gays though...

Weisiang, Shauna and Elgin didn't really like it, saying it was too boring and stuffs like that. A guy in front of us even yawned very loudly ah!

    Am I old?

    Am i starting to grow.............old?

I'm starting to dread this word every second, every minute and every hour!
The thought of thinking my age passing by so fast is starting to scare the hell out of me.
    Serious.
I was also kinda affected by what he had told me the other day that I looked different from the past.
The young me looked cute and pure.
    Now?
Old? Haggard? Dark eye circles? Wrinkled eyes?
    Somehow, I just look OLD!
    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Stop it!!!

I'm 20 years older than Yushi, 10 years older than Ian, 7 years older than Kim, 5 years older than Bryce and 1 year older than Gifford and Eva.
    Argh
Suddenly, I feel that I can understand those "lao zha boh" that always refused to annouce their ages.
    HA HA HA
Serves me right. At that point of time, I was always wondering why they didn't want to say!
I would definitely say, "It's no big deal!"
    NOW... I FINALLY UNDERSTOOD.

It's like the whole world is suddenly against you, moving in a super duper fast speed which you did not even have the chance to notice it! No matter how much creams and lotions you put on your face, the "look" remains.
    It never go away.
Wrinkles, pigmentation marks, collagen creams, botox and cosmetic surgery become your best friends out of nowhere!

You walked on the streets at Far East Plaza and you will definitely see the young crowds.
They look so.. oh man.. youthful!
I just wana dig a hole and hide.
It constantly reminds me that I'm in my twenties. Yeah, to be more precise,
GOOD GRACIOUS 23 YEARS OLD ME!

Maybe I miss the old days when I don't have to care so much about my looks.
You wear the same uniform 5 days a week
    You can't dye your hair
You can't tie colourful hairbands or ribbons on your hair
The only things to compare are your sport shoes, watches and bags.

Life is so simple back then.

Maybe I just want to be simple...

You know, I was wandering in my house just now (cos nothing to do) and happened to see Yushi's baby pictures. SO CUTE!

Hmm…why do babies grow up so fast? Yushi is becoming more and more like a young lady these days and I miss her chubby cute cute face! Babies are so cute and tender! Wahha..not like I wana eat them up but they are so NICE to touch and feel and squeeze! Ooo!

I'm not a molester for goodness' sake. And I'm not hinting that I want to have a baby. How I wish babies don’t grow up too soon. They are just too cutteeeeeeeee…! Don't you think so? Oh man…I wana squeeze her cheeks! And thighs! And buttocks! My 3 favourite spots! And do you notice that all babies and toddlers have bulging tummies? All water inside..

Girl Kids with long tresses wearing long dresses always look so pretty! Next time I want my daughter to wear like this!

This girl looks like a doll!

I always tell Yushi's mother to cane her if she is very naughty. You know, she can be a DEVIL at times. Can really make my blood boil man! But if Yushi is my daughter, I probably won't bear to cane her as well. But on the act of authority and depending on how serious the matter, maybe I will.

Kids nowadays simply have no basic manners. I don't know why seriously. Last time, we will address all the strangers as "aunties" or "uncles". We must listen to our parents and cannot talk back. Err...I did sometimes but never to my papa. He is very fierce.

Now? Kids simply didn't really care to even address them. And worse…they talk back. I once saw this small boy saying stuffs like "Sheng Jing Bing!" (crazy) and "Chu Si" (go and die), to his father. SMALL BOY LEH! Give him 8yrs old lah...machiam act like mini beng! I was so angry for the father yet his papa just reprimanded him. I might have given the boy a slap if I’m his mama.

Is this what the society has brought to them? Is it the parents' fault? Is it the milk powder's fault? I don't know!
